As you know, kitchens are usually the biggest selling feature in a home. Sometimes a simple change can make a big difference, but sometimes changes are not so simple to give it the most marketability. Fortunately, they’re also the most fun and rewarding. If done right, a new kitchen can make a house feel like home.
We kept this kitchen’s basic design, but turned one cabinet a new direction to open up the space and makes the kitchen more functional and inviting.
These cabinets were in good shape, so we updated them with Java gel stain, modern cabinet pulls, and granite countertops. The new flooring into the breakfast nook added to the modern feel.
This kitchen had lots of space, but no “pop!” We try to add crown molding whenever possible to add a touch of elegance.
Using white cabinets and a pantry (not shown) made this small kitchen very functional, and attractive.
We removed the dark diagonal wood wall, and redesigned the cabinet layout, then added a set of upper cabinets on the floor (on the right) to make a serving bar. This helped retain critical cabinet space, and made the kitchen look much bigger.
